Burnt Person
After you walk through the fire and come out the other side, you're pretty burned. The trouble with trying to comfort a burnt person is that your hug will be excruciating to them. A burnt person can't be held without being hurt by all that enthusiastic closeness. Even the warmth of your body will hurt if you get too close too soon. The best thing to do with a burnt person is to let them see you from across the room. If they know you're there for them, and can keep them company, they don't have to feel so alone in their pain.
A burnt person will not always want to talk about the char, even though it is the most obvious thing about them.
Some people think that they can help the healing. They think they can make it happen faster. They think if they peel off the dead skin for you that they are accelerating the recovery process, but really they are creating scars.
With a burnt person you just have to wait. You must be patient because sometimes it can take some time.
